Liver Cirrhosis or Fibrosis Treatment, Master IG

The family of a very young patient of ours, Master IG residing in India, kindly agreed to share their experience, told by the father, of discovering and treating cirrhosis (or fibrosis) of the liver, for which the initial prognosis was requiring a liver transplant. This video clip was recorded by Master IG's father during a visit to our Kolkata Clinics in 2015. (The words in the video are solely his own - we have edited out some pauses, personal details and unclear words. Mr G agrees that this video is a true representation of what he wishes to tell.)

Liver Cirrhosis or Fibrosis

A personal story about Master IG, India, told by his father

### History Master IG's father, Mr G, starts the video story, "I came here [to the first appointment at Dr. P. Banerji's] when my son was 10 months old, about April 2014." He continues, "When he was 9 months old, on 3rd of March 2014 [prior to their first appointment at our clinic], he had a mild fever. Many diagnoses were done and most repeated. The report that comes out is saying he has liver fibrosis. > "Towards the end [of the diagnoses] we were told that his liver needs to be transplanted because it is nearly 75% damaged. " The estimates of the liver transplant were far beyond what Mr G was able to afford (he stopped counting all the sums of cost estimates, such as operation, hospital care and outpatient care once it was clear that they would be well over $35,000). Then, on top of all this would have been a life-long drug treatment cost, had they chosen the liver transplant option. Mr G and his family decided to explore the option of liver treatment in advanced homeopathy at our clinics. > "After we came here," continued Mr G about their first visit to our clinics, where they discussed their son's case with Dr Banerji, "we provided all the reports. And after reviewing the reports the doctor said 'This is curable.' And although it will be prolonged, it is curable because the methodology and the approach the doctor wanted to take was scientific and systematic. " "So following those guidelines up until now we have seen quite a lot of improvements. For example his veins across the tummy were pretty clearly visible and when we came here. But now after being here for about a year now, those veins were not visible any more. " > "Secondly we could easily feel his liver as well as the spleen, which was bloated out, without even pressing his tummy. But now we don't see and feel that bloatedness when we put our hands across his tummy. Till now, touch wood, he is OK. He is responding to the medicines and he's doing good! " [3:14s] > "There was another doctor who conducted his USG at Woodlands, the first one and the second one, he also asked me, 'Since you are not going to Delhi for treatment anymore, under whom is he being treated?' So I gave your name and he said: 'Well, whatever line of treatment or the approach has been taken, that has shown some improvements. Previously there was some elements which were there in the first USG reports which are no longer there in the second report." Master IG's progress after 21 months under our treatment is discussed between IG's family and doctor Paramesh Banerji, during the second half of the video (fast-forward the video to 4:00 mins). It is a recording of segments of one appointment by TeleMedicine. (It took place 4 months after the first half of this video was recorded.) Please note that the laboratory tests, such as [SGOT](http://kidshealth.org/en/parents/test-ast.html), [SGPT](http://kidshealth.org/en/parents/test-alt.html) or UltraSonoGram (USG) are requested by our clinics and would need to be undertaken at an appropriate facility (outside of our clinic), local to the patient. In the video, Dr Paramesh Banerji is reading such reports which in particular are indicating the following improvements:
Previous value Now
SGOT 172 143 a good decrease
SGPT 156 125 a good decrease
Alkaline Phosphate 560 507 a good decrease
Ultrasound liver size has decreased by about 20%, a very good sign.
(The 'Portal Hypertension' problem is no longer being referenced by the diagnostics doctors).
CBC (complete blood count) value Previous value Now
Haemoglobin 10.5 10.7 stable (slight good increase)
Platelet 160,000 stable
* * * Finally, in the video, Dr Banerji asks the family about how their boy, IG, is feeling in himself ('symptomatically'). The mother responds: >>>>>> "Much better now. Before, he used to cry a lot. He used to have chronic diarrhea - it is gone now. Overall he is much better now I think."
